2024: New Owner
David Zummo, the new owner and restaurateur behind Hot Diggity Dogs & Shakes, has a rich history in the food industry that spans decades. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in 1994, his experience includes a donut manufacturing plant in Tampa, micro coffee roasting plant in Albany NY, a Sears dealer, and Century 21 real estate office also in upstate NY.
Several restaurant concepts from cafe/coffee house, boutique steak house, a food truck, and many more.
David’s journey began back to Oneonta in 2003 after leaving the Atlanta market with the Buckhead Life Restaurant Group and the famed Fuddrucker's restaurant group.
When David returned to the upstate, he developed Latte Lounge and then went on to build out another concept called Lizard Lick Ice Cream + Latte Lounge Express from a bank property he purchased. David purchased Hot Diggity Dogs & Shakes on October 1, 2024.
